Hey hey! I'm Jarod, and I run Expand Your Land.

I buy and sell vacant land, mostly in Texas and Arkansas. Small lots, big lots, desert, woods, lake communities. I've done hundreds of these deals, and I've made just about every mistake you can make along the way.

This blog is where I'm going to put all of that in writing.

Why I'm doing this

Buying land is not like buying a house. On a small lot there's usually no Realtor, no bank and no title company holding your hand. It's just you, the seller and a lot of questions.

Most people buying their first piece of land don't know what to ask. They find out about the missing road access, the flood zone or the septic problem after they've already paid. I'd like to help you avoid that.

A little about how we do things

When you buy from us, the listing tells you the good and the bad up front. If a lot is small, remote or has no utilities, we say so. Every property has a free property map so you can see the lines and the corners before you ever drive out there.
